Giving Birth

For years loads of people have made Blogs. Huh ?? Whatever for I asked myself a million times….? But, hey, it has started to dawn on me, that I myself are actually reading a lot of blogs. Either published on the net, or in various magazines. Sitting in the bathroom this morning in the very peacefull house, cats/dog sleeping, teenager off to school, wife in the Gallery, neighbours either dead or just blissfully quiet, I was reading the latest issue of The New Yorker ( a subscription present from my ever thoughtful wife) I noticed that what I enjoyed hugely was the musings on everyday life from one frequent blogger.Just as when I am in England, the saturday issue of The Guardian contains a Week End Magazine with a great blog, about nothing….just ordinary daily happenings from ordinary lives. Things such as the huge drama of the dog pooing in the hall, wife suggesting a holiday in Spain ( and forgetting it next morning)…small things. The things that makes up a life, and is of absolutely no interest to others…..exept all the many “peeping Toms”, that gets a small buzz from discovering that “this is just like here in our home”…Comfort or waste of words (and time) ? ┬áSome might think so, some might just smile being left with a feeling of having met some chatterbox in a cafe, bus or metro that for some reason chose to tell you loads of insignificant things. ┬áBut, you remember it afterwards, taking the words, stories, with you home. Perhaps even wondering about that person’s life… Just as when I, for a short while, was a taxi driver in Copenhagen. I heard millions of stories, worries, joys, sorrows from all kinds of people. Little Old Ladies going to the doctor, worried men either going to business meetings, or, laden with flowers, going home to the wife after an “oops-night out”..Moviestars, rockstars, members from the Danish Royal Family.they were all in the taxi and all of them had one thing in common: The Need To Share. That is why I love to read Blogs. So now, with the view to a fairly messy diningtable, I find myself giving birth to my own blog.Lets see what this “baby” grows up to be….I have no idea…I have no plan…time will show.
